5 Wedding Trends for 2017

Vertical Impact
Couples are taking advantage of the vertical visual space above guest tables. Options include luxurious candelabras, low hanging florals or string lights/ Edison bulbs.
Planning Virtually
Millennial couples have gone fully mobile with their wedding plans. From planning apps counting you down to the big day to sending all wedding stationery by email (Paperless Post is our favourite!). You don't have to worry about posting invites or chasing guests for for their RSVP's as they can respond with the click of a button.
Drip Wedding Cakes
In the past we have seen the rise of the naked wedding cakes, cheese cakes and macaroon towers. This year it's all about the drip cakes. These are colourful, beautiful but most importantly - fun!
Botanical Florals
Botanical florals became hugely popular in 2016 and we will see this trend continue well into 2017. Greenery such as magnolia leaf, ivy and smilax are bundled together and used in place of traditional flowers in centrepieces, draped over signage and chairs.
Precious Gems & Stones
This trend blends together popular wedding themes; glam and boho. Raw gems and rocks such as agate and geodes have become very popular with couples incorporating them on their cake, wedding stationery and name cards.
