Creating a well-lit, calm atmosphere is key to making you feel comfortable in your surroundings. Brighter workspaces help boost your mood and if you’re experiencing a positive mood, you’re more likely to concentrate and less likely to be distracted. From quirky lamps to placing your desk near a window for natural light, or adding in ambience with mirrors and candles, there’s lots of simple ways to add more light into your home office. We love these desk lamp ideas from The Standard and these handy lighting tips from Ideal Home. To help you stay stress free throughout the working day, why not try a luxury, natural candle from NEOM Organics on your desk?
THE POWER OF PLANTS
Scientific studies have proven many positives of having greenery in your workspace. Whether we’re aware of it or not, humans have an innate desire to be connected with nature, a link that scientists call ‘biophilia’. In recent years, these studies have shown that workspaces that feature plants help to reduce stress, increase productivity, keep the air clean and boost creativity… what’s not to love?! Of course, how much light and the temperature of your home office can affect your #powerplants, so it’s best to research which will thrive in your home. Succulents such as Aloe and Cacti, Rubber Plants and Peace Lilies are great all-rounders and add a stylish, green touch to your home office.
