Advance Purchase Rate
Benefit from a 10% discount by booking our Advanced Purchase rate which is available up until 7 days prior to arrival. Full pre-payment is required at time of booking. Payments are non-refundable. Reservations can be amended once up to 14 days prior to the arrival date. If the new date chosen is at a higher rate the difference will be due at the time of amendment.

Wedding, Christmas & New Year Rates
When you book on a Wedding, Christmas or New Year Rate we require full pre-payment at the time of booking. Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Please note that for all pre-paid rates we require you to present the card used to make the reservation.
Amendments & Cancellations
All reservations will be held to the terms as per the individual reservation. We recommend taking out travel insurance for all pre-paid reservations.
All rates include VAT at the prevailing rates.
Here at The Daffodil, our team members have been trained in enhanced cleaning routines following The World Health Organisation COVID-19 guidelines. We are paying special attention to high-touch areas such as lift buttons and door handles, disinfecting them at regular intervals. Hand sanitising stations are available in lobbies and corridors. To ensure the safety of our staff and guests we have had to make some changes to the way the hotel operates and the services that we are able to offer. The Spa at The Daffodil
A unique concept in the Lake District, the Spa at The Daffodil combined with top European skincare house Germaine de Capuccini offers a truly relaxing and unwinding experience. The Spa is open daily between 8am - 8pm. All residents aged 16 and over can enjoy complimentary access to the Spa including the Thermal Pool, Sauna and Steam Room during their stay. Guest will have access form 2pm on day of arrival until 12noon on their day of departure. We regret that owing to the nature of the facilities children under 16 will not be permitted in the Spa or thermal pool. A range of luxury treatments including massage, facials, body wraps and more are available from 9am – 6pm daily. We do recommend booking early so as to avoid disappointment.
Situated just on the edge of Grasmere water, the Dining Room, Lounge and Lakeside Terrace offer a stylish, contemporary, yet relaxed dining experience like no other with stunning views as far as the eye can see. Dinner inclusive guests have an allocation of £35 per adult per night to spend on food. Any unused dinner allocation can’t be carried over to future nights. All drinks will be charged as taken. We advise booking your dinner time advance so as to get your preferred time slot.

Children of all ages are welcome at The Daffodil. Our Family Suites include 2 inter-connecting rooms for 2 adults and 2 children. We also have a small number of bedrooms that we are able to add a children's bed or cot into. Children aged 3 – 15 are charged at a rate of £20 per child per night including breakfast, when sharing with 2 full paying adults. There is no charge for children under 3 and the hotel can provide a travel cot if required. All children’s meals will be charged as taken. Unfortunately due to the nature of the Spa, we are unable to welcome children under 16 into all areas of the Spa including the Thermal Pool.
Well behaved dogs are welcomed in a limited number of bedrooms including our Daffodil Double or Accessible room types. A maximum of 1 dog is allowed per room and there is a charge of £15 per night. To book a pet friendly room, please give our Bookings Team a call on 015394 63550.
Arrival & Departure Times
Check in is from 3pm on the day of arrival. If you're room is ready early we will of course check you in but unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee early check-in. We welcome you to enjoy the Spa or Restaurant prior to checking in. Check out time is by 11am on the day of departure. Subject to availability, late checkouts are charged at £20 per hour and must be pre-arranged with Reception.
Complimentary onsite parking is available to all residents on a first come basis.
We ask that you please advise the hotel of any specific dietary needs, mobility issues, or other specific requirements at least 48 hours prior to arrival to your arrival.
We understand that you may be visiting The Daffodil for a very special occasion whether that be a birthday, anniversary or proposal. Please let us know if we can assist you ahead of your arrival. The hotel will always make every effort to fulfil your specific special requests. Unfortunately, sometimes due to issues outside of our control, we are unable to guarantee specific room numbers.
We want your stay with us to be a memorable one for all the right reasons. In the unlikely event that you have any issues during your stay, we ask that you bring this to the attention of the Duty Manager as soon as possible so we are able to make every effort to fix any issue that occurs. We ask that any formal complaints are received in writing no later than 5 days after your departure date.
We respectfully ask that guests do not disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests or cause offence to other guests or our staff. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from the hotel if we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case, we shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred. You will be held liable for any damage or loss caused by you or a member of your party. Damage caused by you or your party will be chargeable.
Smoking and vaping is not permitted in any area of the hotel, including any bedroom balconies, apart from the designated external smoking areas. This includes the use of e-cigarettes. The use of candles or any naked flames is not permitted in any area of the hotel. the hotel reserved the right to charge a fee of up to £100 for any guest who is found to be in breach of this policy.
