Things do go wrong from time to time, but that shouldn't spoil your holiday. If something is wrong, telling us there and then gives us the chance to improve and ensure that you have an excellent stay. Travel review sites are one way to provide this sort of feedback however, they do come with their problems…
FIRSTLY | Posting isn't compulsory. Most guests enjoy their time with us and many return – not all guests then choose to submit a review. We love the good posts and it's true, we are disappointed with the bad ones - however we try very hard to learn from them.
SECONDLY | You don't have to visit to post! Validity of reviews on travel review sites is questionable.
Are hoteliers posting favourably for their own hotels? Pressure for positive comments is so great, the temptation can be real! Are some people leaving negative reviews providing the full story? Did they inform anyone during their stay of the issues they are now sharing, and was the opportunity given to the hotel to make things right?
As such, we choose not to respond to reviews or rely on sites such as Trip Advisor for genuine feedback at The Daffodil. Instead, we deal with comments and complaints carefully and privately, right here at the hotel. We are always open to suggestions and ensure that we ask all of our guests upon checkout if they have enjoyed their stay.
We understand that it's not always easy to speak up. But please, if anything is ruining your time at The Daffodil, then do inform a member of our team. If you don't feel that you can tell us at the time, we would kindly suggest that you write to us later and we will respond as soon as possible.
